Coloring the cast was a good experiment and I plan on casting it more to try out different styles and techniques.
I tried multiple textures on the first cast:
The next was a marbling technique with marbling ink:
The final I did in gold to see if I could get the effect of it melting down the sides. If I were to do it again I would focus again more on shading:
