Tracking shot

This tracking shot was a nightmare. Adam had created a rig from an old draw and we were able to connect the camera to it so it would follow the beams similar to that of tracking rails.
Although this seemed to work well at the beginning I soon discovered that the camera often turned side to side. This meant the shots where often unstable. I decided to have the character step into frame before the camera pulls away, inspired my Isle of Dogs, them step back into shot when camera stops. After talking to Tim Allen he said the juddery movement was distracting and whether it would be a good idea to try again and see if it could get better. However due to time restraints we were unable to do so. Not only that but during the long exit shot of Yuri walking out the throne room his leg snapped so was unable to walk on one foot. To make up for this during the scene We used wire to prop him up.

This was extremely difficult to work with but I was still able to get the shot done.
