The Emperor and Yorimasa scaling

After creating faces of the characters in 3D it was only right to create them in full scale before the modeling workshop.
This is The Emperor scale, we looked at skeletons of large cats such as tigers and panther, evening visiting the natural history museum to see if there was any detail that was be important to include. The tail was incorporated in the wire structure as that would be an interesting point of movement during animation.
Japanese macaques do no have tails so this was not applicable for Yorimasa. I started with a generic wire frame and used air drying clay to create the figure. We did not need any movement as this was only to infer scale.
