Animation story

Today we decided on a Japanese tale of Yormiasa, a warrior who manages to defeat a nameless dragon hiding in the clouds that plagued the Emperor.

As it was such a long story we had to shorten the run time and figure out ways of which to simplify animation process. For this we thought of using shadows and shadow puppets along with clever lighting to highlight narrative, and altering characters to animals.

I found this tale to be beautiful and was immediately inspired by the visual descriptive. I cannot wait to get started on a story so beautiful.
