In wake of reading F. Hadland Davis Myths and Legends of Japan I thought another visit to the V&A would help be gain a full understanding of my set, or better, inform me of anything I could add. I found these two mirrors (from the years of 1200-1400) and are sacred treasures from Shinto, they are associated with the sun Goddess Amaterasu adapted from Chinese designs and I think they are a stunning way or portraying a character or motif.

The image above I just found extremely beautiful, it reminded me of the god Susunoo.
