After doing a lot of research on old Japanese buildings I realized that many did not follow a similar design to my chosen location. It was uncommon for me to find an ancient building with the same hexagonal shape, consisting instead of a squared structure. This drew my focus to smaller hut like buildings. I was surprised how similar they were, all beautifully structured and colorful I felt I had a lot to add to my design.
