Initial Idea

I was inspired by the Elven culture in Middle Earth, the elegance of each location is beautiful design and allows me to work in great details when it comes to architecture. Although I know it could not be a format for my creation as it does not match the criteria, I just wanted to jot down my first ideas. Drawing this I wanted to create the effect of somewhere that seemed lived in yet highly maintained. The short grass, the clean stone floor and blooming roses speak to the decoration of 1800 architecture, especially the large columns. I really enjoy this design as I feel the absence of presence gives it more elegance as a scene and makes it more magical. I want to explore this concept more when analyzing space within Wimbledon campus. Also taking inspiration from Tim Burtons book 'Burton to Burton' where many of his film concepts and ideas are displayed. The image below shows a design for Trick or Treat and I love the use of dramatic lines and the black and white tiles. I was sure to use them in my design.
